
uganda telecom donates computers to school
Recently, uganda telecom embarked on a drive to improve computer
literacy in schools as part of the larger ICT4D millennium goal. Uganda
Telecom will donate 5 computers each to 33 schools and tertiary
institutions around the country. These computers will not only help the
students get a better understanding of computer science and ICT but may
also be used to educate members of the larger community. So far,
Kyebambe Girls, Mpanga S.S. and Queen of Angels Academy in Fort Portal,
Nakanyonyi Girls in Jinja, Kebisoni Progressive Primary school and
Kajara Parents Primary school in the West and St. Mary Ediofe Girls
School, Mvara S.S. and Munni Girls in Arua have been recipients of this
project.
