Mr. Paulsen explained that for as low as sh60,000 per month, subscribers to the new product codenamed Moonlight will be able to enjoy Internet access at home from 7:00pm to 7:00am Monday to Friday and all weekend. With the new offer, customers will additionally have access to the most affordable phone calls off their landline, for as low as sh50 to both the Uganda telecom mobile and landline during the same time periods.

“At Uganda telecom, we believe in providing quality and affordable access to communication for all Ugandans. We know that many people require internet access even when they are at home. This is just one of the many products that we have brought onto the market to address that need. We know that information is power and we want to empower more people to have easy access to information at their own time and place,” said Mr. Paulsen.

Mr. Paulsen further explained that Moonlight is a product that is primarily targeted at Uganda telecom customers that already have an existing landline at home. The company has various other Internet options that meet the communication needs of a variety of customers.

Moonlight is a very convenient and easy to use product. Once a customer acquires a modem from any Uganda telecom shop, they will be able to easily install using a simple installation guide which is available with the modem. Should the customer require any help, they are welcome to call any service centre and they will be helped accordingly.

Uganda telecom is currently the largest provider of landline and internet services in the country.
