On the 17th October 2009, Uganda Telecom held a very successful family day dubbed "Big Blue Family Reunion" at the Kaunda Grounds in Gulu.
The crowd that turned up was over 30,000 strong and the customers enjoyed activities including a free beauty parlor offer for the ladies, bouncing castles, merry go rounds, ice cream parlor, face painting for the children and free internet zone, paint ball shooting and entertainment for the adults.
The festivities kicked off at 10:00am and went on till after 3:00am.

On the day before, Uganda Telecom staff visited Gulu Primary School where we donated food, scholastic materials including Braille paper and other materials for the visually challenged as well as mattresses and blankets. The staff also handed over old clothes and items that had been collected from various staff members.
Uganda Telecom also carried out a treasure hunt where we hid 6 golden simcards and those that found them stood a chance to win 1,000,000/= cash, airtime for a year or 5 mobile phones.
