On Monday
5th October 2009, Uganda Telecom launched a new promotion dubbed
“1 on 1: Who’s Your Number 1?”
In this promotion, for a full month, UTL offers each subscriber an
opportunity to make UNLIMITED CALLS to 1 UTMOBILE number of their choice as
well as UNLIMITED UTMOBILE destined SMS’s by simply topping up with UShs.
1,000/=.
The offer is dependent on the subscriber loading
UShs.1,000/= a month to trigger the activation of the unlimited calls to 1
number of their choice.
This 1 number can be changed as many times
as the customer desires for a basic surcharge of UShs.500/= @
change.
Each UTL sim card also has a provision for having 5 Family and Friends
numbers that the subscriber calls at a discounted rate of 1/= per second.
The FIRST number on the F&F list will now be the number that the
subscriber calls for free.
To enjoy the “#1” service, the subscriber has to:
1.Top up with UTL airtime (Voucher, Xpress, Scratch card).
2.Set the FIRST F’n’F number as the #1 (By dialing 331), selecting option 2
and following the voice prompts.
3.Start enjoying the service!
4.Each change of the #1 will levy a 500/= charge.
Fine Print - A sub can change as many times as he wishes!
Uganda Telecom will offer ALL subscribers UNLIMITED UTMOBILE SMS’s 24 hours
a day for a month to ALL UTL numbers!
All the subscribers have to do is
load UShs. 1,000/= every month to enjoy the FREE SMS.
