GIVEN A CHANCE …AND DOING WELL!

In 2004 Uganda Telecom partnered with a leading NGO The Kulika Charitable Trust, and launched the Uganda Telecom and Kulika scholarship fund.

Our vision through this fund is to support beneficial educational programs that will enable underprivileged Ugandan youth across the country to excel and succeed in today’s competitive environment.

We are promoting technological valuable educational areas investing in the future of tomorrow’s leaders by supporting students in the areas of Agriculture, Engineering Architecture, Human and Veterinary Medicine, Community Psychology, Food Science and Technology, Information technology and Development studies. This represents an initial commitment of 6 years and 56 students with an investment of 700 million shillings over the six year period.

Each student was picked for excelling in their respective areas of study and their exhibition of the potential to make a difference in his/ her chosen field.

Uganda Telecom has a history of contributing positively to the communities where we live, work and serve. It is our commitment to become Uganda’s premier corporate citizen.

“We have embraced our responsibilities and have undertaken social investment initiatives in health, education, sport and culture”.

The company is committed to enabling and empowering the people of Uganda especially those underprivileged youth who have strived against the odds to achieve educational excellence: it is here through our partnerships that we have placed our greatest devotion to make a practical and meaningful contribution to this nation”

We are privileged to be able to enhance these young people’s lives and hopefully by doing so, we will make a noteworthy difference to the nation of Uganda as a whole
